We all feel the rush of the holidays, what with the running around with the extra errands, visiting family and friends, all the extra cooking, and of course trying to maintain and market the business.
There are lots of tasks that only you can do, but if you look around there are lots of things that you can outsource too. By doing so, you can give yourself some time to work on the important things like spending time with family.
Hiring a person to take on one task a week of even an hour or two not only saves you time but more importantly reduces the stress of taking something off your check list especially during this busy season.
Here are some suggestions of things that you can outsource to save time and your sanity during the holidays!
- Holiday cards are a great item to delegate out. Going green this season allows you to save money, is better for the environment and gives you the flexibility to send them out right up to Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve for New Year’s cards. This task can also be done virtually – a great job to off load to an assistant. Simply put your list of recipients together with their email address and hand it off to your assistant. There is one item checked off your list!
- Social Media Posts take time to post to all your platforms and are a huge drain on the hours you have in the day. Instead, write your posts and send them to you virtual assistant and get them posted hourly in all your social media accounts. Your assistant can find just the right graphic to add to the posts and you have one less thing to worry about while you still maintain a social media presence.
- Re-purpose your content is a great technique when you have no to write your posts yourself these holidays. Hand off your content from your blog posts, e-books and articles. A virtual assistant can take those sources and create great quotes from them to use in Facebook, Twitter, or Google+. You have just taken hours off your weekly schedule!
- Email never seems to stop – even on a holiday. Keeping up with all the email requests that are coming in a normal day can be anxiety provoking on a normal day, during the holiday season it is only worse! Giving access to an assistant who can review all incoming emails will save you both time and stress. They can respond to basic requests, file newsletters and less important emails in special folders, and create a small list of emails that you need to actually review.
- Newsletters are an important way to stay in touch with your clients. If you don’t have enough time to format your newsletter, simply write your post and hand it over to your VA. They can take the time to edit, format, add graphics and send it out.
